The Freedom Pedestrian Bridge represents a landmark achievement as the first pedestrian-only crossing over the Tigris River in Baghdad. Extending 225 meters in length, the bridge seamlessly links the neighborhoods of Al-Kadhimiya and Al-Ghreyaat, significantly enhancing urban mobility and pedestrian connectivity.
Designed with user comfort in mind, the bridge is fully covered by a modern roofing system, providing year-round protection from environmental elements. Along its span, four designated resting zones offer pedestrians safe and inviting spaces to pause and enjoy the view.
Constructed using a harmonious blend of aluminum and glass, the bridge showcases a sleek, contemporary design that reflects both the architectural advancement and progressive spirit of the surrounding urban fabric.
